Our recent Port Augusta (SA) activation (17-19 June 2026) became the largest multi-day health event Fat Farmers has delivered to date, with appointments fully booked within 48 hours of release and nearly 160 skin checks delivered across the week.

Despite Port Augusta experiencing its wettest day and coldest day of the year during the event, the enthusiasm from participants never wavered.

A huge thank you goes to the team from Rosemary Bryant AO Research Centre, whose dedication and commitment ensured the event was a success. We are proud to continue partnering with a team who delivers professional and accessible skin checks to community members, helping people take proactive steps towards their health.

The week also saw the Health Hub on site for BHP South Australia's Pastoralists Day, providing another opportunity to engage with rural and remote community members.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of Bernie Sharrad and the team, whose partnership helped make this community activation possible. Their commitment to the wellbeing of regional communities reflects the importance of organisations working together to address the unique health challenges faced outside metropolitan centres.

A special thank you also goes to Joe and Lauren Ross, Champions from the Fat Farmers Robertstown group, who generously assisted with the movement of the Mobile Health Hub.

Fat Farmers team members Michael Williams and Rob Dawes also attended the BHP Pastoralists evening, sharing more about Fat Farmers' commitment to improving health outcomes across rural Australia. These conversations are an important reminder that building healthier communities requires long-term partnerships, trusted local relationships, and a shared commitment to prevention.

We also thank The Hospital Research Foundation Group for their ongoing support.

Nearly 160 skin checks. Hundreds of meaningful conversations. New connections formed. Greater awareness created.

This is what community-led health looks like.

And this is why we keep showing up.

Together, we're growing healthier communities 💛💙
