1,000 Free Health Checks and Counting
Some milestones tell you that you're heading in the right direction.
For Fat Farmers, reaching more than 1,000 free health checks delivered since July 2025 is one of those
moments.
What makes this achievement even more significant is how quickly it has accelerated. The majority of these health checks have been delivered in the first six months of this year, reflecting the growing demand for accessible, preventative health services in rural and regional communities.
The milestone was reached during the first stop of the Health Hub's latest road trip at the Sheepvention Rural Expo in Hamilton (Vic) (2-3 August 2026), where Fat Farmers partnered with the National Centre for Farmer Health and SISU Health Group to deliver more than 50 free health checks to expo attendees.
While 50 health checks at a single event is a fantastic result in itself, crossing the 1,000-health-check mark represented something much bigger.
It's a powerful reminder of how far the Health Hub has come since launching in December 2025.
At Fat Farmers, we believe healthier rural communities are built through movement, connection and practical support. The Health Hub was created to help bridge the gap in access to preventative healthcare by bringing services directly to the places rural people already gather, including field days, shows, sporting events and community activations.
Taking away the cost and time factor by delivering these health checks for free breaks down any location or financial barrier, making them accessible to anyone.
Every health check represents a conversation, an opportunity for early intervention, and a chance for someone to learn more about their health.
Of the health checks delivered to date, approximately one in seven have returned a high-risk result, highlighting the importance of making preventative health services more accessible in rural Australia.
Our attendance was supported through a Look Over the Farm Gate Grant provided by Agriculture Victoria under the Victorian Government's 2025 Drought Support Package. Their support is helping ensure rural communities have greater access to the health information, screening opportunities and preventative care they deserve.
